The Electronic Security Association’s (ESA) National Training School will offer a course aimed at teaching dealers and integrators how to troubleshoot and repair electronic security systems, including intrusion, fire, video and access control.
Titled “Troubleshooting, Service and Maintenance [TSM],” the course covers the service and maintenance of existing systems, teaching dealers and integrators the troubleshooting mindset, as well as how to determine and undertake specific repair procedures for today’s systems. The course, which is designed to make a company’s key profit engine more productive, instructs integrators how to establish an ongoing relationship with their clients through system maintenance and troubleshooting agreements, says LJ Lynes, co-chair of the ESA Education and Training Committee.
“TSM is a completely unique course, where you’re guaranteed to learn something new, no matter how long you’ve been in the industry,” says Lynes. “TSM offers dealers and integrators an additional stream of revenue through the maintenance and servicing of their customers’ systems, with the potential for significant profits through these services.”
An online version of TSM is set to launch this month. To find an upcoming course, visit www.alarm.org/nts/courses/tsm.html.
