LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Protection One has appointed P. Gray Finney as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Finney will lead all legal operations and strategies for the nation's second largest security providers.
Finney previously served at ADT Security Services, where he began as commercial counsel in 1996, eventually promoted to senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.
During his tenure with ADT, Finney was part of the strategic acquisitions of such major electronic security service companies as Holmes Protection, Wells Fargo Alarm Services, Alarmguard, Entergy, SecurityLink, Edison Select, and Sensormatic Electronics, plus more than 110 smaller acquisitions.
Finney also served as the regional manager of SimplexGrinnell's U.S. Gulf Coast region and as the Six Sigma project director for its U.S. Southeast region, between 2003 and 2005. Since 2005, Finney has been the managing member of Finney Law Firm LLC, a law firm focusing primarily on the electronic security industry and telecommunications.
"Gray brings over 20 years of invaluable legal and business experience with global corporations to Protection One. We will benefit greatly from his addition to the team, and his in-depth understanding of the security and technology markets," say Tim Whall, president and CEO of Protection One.
