MIAMI — Nonprofit security industry initiative Mission 500 is seeking candidates for the 2011 Mission 500 Humanitarian Award. The award, which honors individuals in the security industry who make important contributions to those in need, will be presented at a special cocktail reception on April 6, 2011, during ISC West in Las Vegas.
A judging panel will evaluate all nominees based on their contributions toward humanitarian causes. The 2010 recipient, Altronix President Alan Forman, was honored because of his involvement with numerous charitable organizations, as well as serving on the advisory boards of both Gift of Life Int'l and Mission 500, and as the New York Metro Chapter president for the American Technion Society.
Additionally, Mission 500 will host its second 5K charity run at ISC West on April 7, 2011. The marathon is the first charity-driven event at an ISC Expo.
Those interested in participating can register for $30 at the Mission 500 booth at ISC West, or online at www.firstgiving.com/mission500. Proceeds benefit Mission 500's efforts in serving the needs of children and communities in crisis.
