Security Consultants Discuss Trends, Products at Forum

LA JOLLA, Calif. — More than 100 security consultants attended Tyco Security Products’ 10th annual Security Design/Technology Symposium, an event that provides security consultants with educational opportunities and company-specific product information.

Held Nov. 12-14 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa in La Jolla, Calif., the three-day conference also served as a forum for discussion on industry trends and customer feedback. Educational courses focused on cloud computing, corporate security trends, mitigating corporate security risks and maximizing performance in a competitive environment.

Additionally, sessions discussed Software House’s C∙CURE 9000 solution, American Dynamics’ portfolio of IP solutions and Kantech’s managed access control solution.

Attendees were treated to a keynote speech by Lt. Col. Rob Waldman, who overcame massive claustrophobia and a fear of heights to become a highly decorated combat fighter pilot with more than 65 missions in Iraq and Serbia.

“This was, by a wide margin, the best organized and executed program that I’ve attended,” says Michael Crocker, CPP, president, Michael Crocker & Associations. “More importantly, the in-depth product and industry discussions and networking experience with the Tyco Security Products team and my peers was invaluable.”
