ADS Security Acquires 2 Ala.-Based Security Companies

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — ADS Security has purchased the accounts of Birmingham, Ala.-based Alarm One and Praetorian Systems Group from Systems Group LLC, an electronic security services dealer. Terms of the deal, which was handled by Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group, were not disclosed.

The deal was finalized at the end of 2010, ADS Vice President of Central Alabama Steven Hicks tells SSI.

“It was a good acquisition for us,” he says. “These particular companies had installed, monitored and serviced what appeared to be very good solid systems and accounts. We are picking up good quality commercial, residential, burglar and fire alarm systems that we can provide to Birmingham customers through ADS services.”

Alarm One and Praetorian customers will now have access to ADS’ services and monitoring. The company is currently contacting customers who received services from the Systems Group to inform them of the change.

“We are pleased to welcome Alarm One and Praetorian customers to ADS Security and look forward to exceeding their every expectation,” Hicks says.
