ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) announced this week that two political pundits — Bill Kristol and Bill Press — will participate in a debate during the organization's 2011 Government Summit, scheduled for June 21-22 in Washington.
Kristol, founder and editor of The Weekly Standard, is a conservative commentator for "Fox News Sunday" and The Washington Post. He served as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle and to Reagan Administration Education Secretary William Bennett.
His opponent, Press, host of the nationally syndicated radio talk show "The Bill Press Show," is a longtime Democratic Party insider who served as chair of the California Democratic Party in the mid-1990s.
The debate will cover policy and politics, including the impact of the 2010 mid-term elections and the prospects for the 2012 presidential campaign.
