ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Credential review classes will be offered during the first annual (ISC)² Security Congress, which will be co-located with the ASIS Int'l 57th Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Orlando, Fla., in September.
On Sept. 16-17, ASIS will provide review courses for the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) exam, as well as several other certification programs. (ISC)² will host a two-day seminar for Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials on Sept. 17-18.
"More than 100,000 professionals will gain access to best practices across the full range of information and traditional security," says ASIS President Raymond T. O'Hara, CPP. "The ability to build a solid practitioner network is one of the most valuable benefits to gain from this relationship."
Held at the expansive Orange County Convention Center, the conference will also feature more than 700 product and service displays.
(ISC)² stands for the Int'l Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. The nonprofit organization serves as a membership body for about 75,000 certified information security professionals in more than 135 countries.
In late 2010, ASIS Int'l and (ISC)² signed an agreement to combine the events. As a result, the groups will offer shared educational programs and work together on legislative issues of joint concern.
