BOCA RATON, Fla. — ADT Security Services has purchased physical security information management (PSIM) software provider Proximex, the company announced today.

In addition to providing enhanced services to clients, the deal helps both companies further their positions. "Going forward, PSIM will support the growth of our business by serving as a foundation for managed service offerings to our customers," says ADT North America Commercial President John Kenning.

ADT Commercial will operate Proximex's Surveillint solution. The software integrates and connects related information from both existing and new security systems

"We believe this deal lets us remain committed to the core principles we share with our partners," says Proximex President Jack Smith. "With this new relationship, we gain an increased level of service for our partners and vendors. We also can leverage ADT's scale and assets like their Centers of Excellence for installation and service."

Founded in 2004, Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Proximex will continue operating from its headquarters. The company will also keep its branding, customer relationships and its management team.
