CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) announced the winner of the 2011 William N. Moody Award for outstanding excellence in the security alarm industry today at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Charlotte, N.C.
Jay Hauhn, chief technology officer and vice president of industry relations, ADT North America, was honored during the ESX Industry IceBreaker Luncheon, a SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION-sponsored event.
Among his many attributes, Hauhn is credited as an outspoken member of the boards of directors for CSAA, ESA and SIA, acting as a catalyst for positive alignment of the security and fire alarm professions. In March, Hauhn was inducted into the SSI Hall of Fame. You can read more about his industry involvement here.
Created in 2004 by the SIAC Board of Directors, the William N. Moody Award acknowledges individuals who unselfishly give of their time and talents to alarm management issues. The award is also intended to honor individuals who reflect the attributes of SSI Hall of Fame inductee Bill Moody, including integrity, fairness and perseverance in the face of adversity.
