This weekly podcast features the industry's leading business owners, operators, managers and subject matter experts discussing the trends, challenges, technologies and more affecting today's electronic security professional.
In the latest edition, Editor-in-Chief Scott Goldfine talks with Todd Pedersen, CEO and co-founder of Vivint, one of North America's largest security and home automation installation and monitoring services providers. Under his leadership, the company, which about a year ago rebranded from APX Alarm Security Solutions to Vivint to reflect its extended portfolio of offerings, has achieved 825% growth the past five years and now has around a half-million customers. In addition, Pederson has created a company culture where employees enjoy a unique experience and participate in community service through Vivint Gives Back -which has provided more than $1 million and thousands of hours of volunteer labor to tens of thousands of families and organizations in need. This past year, the program was recognized with a SAMMY Award for Best Community Outreach.
Listen as Pederson discusses door-to-door sales, competition from telecoms, how he motivates employees, current challenges and more.
