Welcome to SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION's "Security Speaking" podcast!

This weekly podcast features the industry's leading business owners, operators, managers and subject matter experts discussing the trends, challenges, technologies and more affecting today's electronic security professional.

In the latest edition, Editor-in-Chief Scott Goldfine talks with Desmond Smyth, founder and president of New York-based SecureWatch24 (SW24), a provider of video surveillance and facilities management systems and services that is one of the industry's leading commercial and residential real estate security companies. The company mans its central command stations and mobile response units with seasoned law enforcement personnel. Smyth, a licensed aircraft technician and former specialist for Xerox, developed the SW24 concept prior to his retirement from the NYPD Detective Bureau in 2006 that capped a 20-year tenure. SW24 is a unique operation, and that's why it graced SSI's October 2009 cover.

Listen as Smyth discusses how his law enforcement background benefits the company; three tips to achieve the most effective blend of leading-edge security technology and event response; SW24's new reseller program and Fusion Center, and more.
