LAS VEGAS — As Tyco Int’l continues its reorganization into three publicly traded companies, the firm will rebrand its ADT North America Commercial Security business unit to Tyco Integrated Security, the company announced at ISC West. The new name will be phased into use in the coming months.
“Commercial enterprises have different, more complex needs from homes and small businesses, and this name change, from ADT North America Commercial Security to Tyco Integrated Security, is representative of our continued focus and commitment to the commercial market,” said Brian McDonald, COO, Tyco Fire & Security.
The rebranded company will continue to invest in solutions and services, leveraging the global resources of the new standalone Fire & Security company that will result from the separation, according to Tyco. The reorganization is expected to be completed by the end of September.
Tyco Integrated Security will focus exclusively on providing technologies and services for businesses in North America, the company said.
“As our business evolves, we intend to continue delivering the quality and reliability our customers have come to expect,” said Jay Hauhn, CTO for Tyco Integrated Security. “This is an exciting time for our organization, employees and customers alike.”
