Top Media Relations Firm Honors P1 for Marketing Tactics

CHICAGO — Protection 1 has received a 2012 Bulldog Media Relations Awards for its marketing efforts. Led by its communications agency, Alpaytac Marketing Communications/Public Relations, P1’s marketing campaign earned a Gold level award in the Best General Business Campaign category.

The awards program is presented by Bulldog Reporter, which supplies news, analysis and high-level training content to public relations and corporate communications professionals. Selected by working journalists, the awards honor public relations campaigns that demonstrate best strategic and tactical PR/corporate communications offerings. P1’s marketing efforts were honored, in part, for generating 2,401 placements in mainstream media, including the Houston Chronicle, Miami Herald and ChicagoTribune.com.

P1’s entry will be featured in the Daily Dog online trade journal and The Bulldog Awards “Hall of Fame” online magazine.

“We’re thrilled with this recognition,” P1 Chief Marketing Officer Jamie Haenggi says. “It shows we’re providing interesting, engaging information and working effectively with, not only security publications, but mainstream outlets as well. It also continues a string of industry and non-industry awards and recognition we’ve received in the last 12 months.”

In March, SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION presented three SAMMY Awards to the firm, including Best Overall Integrated Marketing Campaign, Best Display Ad and Best Company Newsletter.

P1 also ranked in the top five of the “Best in Class Call Center — Over 200 Staff” at the 2011 Call Center Excellence Awards. Additionally, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s selected the company to participate in its Center for Information Systems Research “Working Smarter” case study. The study examined how information systems and technology can be used to make businesses more efficient.

“Our commitment to our customers, as well as to our employees, has helped secure these recent acknowledgements,” Haenggi says. “People — internally and externally — and our commitment to service are what make this organization so successful, and we look forward to continuing that success moving forward.”
