ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named PSA Security Network President and CEO Bill Bozeman to receive the 2012 Lippert Award.
For 33 years, Bozeman has served in the security systems integration business and has a successful record of accomplishment in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He has held leadership positions for several companies, including Delta Audio-Visual Security, Dictograph Alarm Systems, Delta Countermeasures and Pinkerton Systems Integration. He also served two terms on the SIA Board of Directors.
“Bill is one of the most exceptional leaders within our industry,” SIA CEO Don Erickson says. “Among his strongest attributes is his genuine interest in working collaboratively with SIA to help grow our industry and facilitate new opportunities for businesses to succeed.”
Throughout his career, Bozeman has directed sophisticated electronic security projects for corporate America, the U.S. government and private institutions. In 2005, he was inducted into SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION’s Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement award that recognizes those individuals whose distinguished careers have helped shape the electronic security industry. In 2006, Bozeman received recognition as one of the security industry’s 25 Most Influential Security Executives.
“I am thrilled and humbled to be chosen to receive SIA’s George R. Lippert Memorial Award,” Bozeman says. “I learned a tremendous amount from my fellow SIA board members during my two terms. SIA works tirelessly for the security industry and should be commended for their vision in leadership.”
The George R. Lippert Memorial Award recognizes outstanding contributions to SIA and the security industry. Bozeman will receive the award at the Security Week Gala on Oct. 30 at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City.
