LEWISVILLE, Texas — In an effort to connect with dealers throughout the Texas region, COPS Monitoring has opened its fifth central station here.

Networked with the monitoring firm’s four other central stations, the new 8,000-square-foot facility will actively share in the company’s alarm traffic.

“We are very excited about the launch of our Texas facility and how it contributes to the reliability of our network of central stations,” COPS Monitoring President and COO Jim McMullen says.

Leading the central station team is Derek Kopko, a four-year COPS employee who recently relocated from the New Jersey headquarters. To prepare for the grand opening of the facility, Kopko has offered hands-on training for new dispatchers for the past seven months.

Though the company credits leading technology as one of the main reasons the new facility will provide reliability, customer service also lends itself to the central station’s success, according to McMullen.

“We believe that reliability depends on more than a UL listing and fault-tolerant technology,” he says. “It also relies on people. Our Texas staff strengthens our team of caring professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality alarm monitoring services.”

Within the coming weeks, COPS Monitoring will host a grand opening event and facility tour.
