Ed Several, senior vice president for ISC Events, sent out a notice Saturday announcing that the ISC East show set to run Oct. 29-30 has been postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION was one of the many industry organizations set to participate in the exhibition. Following is the text of Several's E-mailed announcement ...
"Due to the State of Emergency declared by the Governor of the State of New York and the clear impact and potential danger presented by Hurricane Sandy, we have made a decision to POSTPONE ISC East. We will work with our exhibitors, attendees and the Javits Center to try to establish an appropriate future date for the Show.
We hope that you all remain safe during this unprecedented storm. If I can personally assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at eseveral@reedexpo.com and I will respond as conditions allow."
In addition, the Security Industry Association (SIA) E-mailed out this announcement regarding its scheduled event to coincide with ISC East ...
"The Security Industry Association, after consulting with our event partners, has decided to postpone the SIA Security Week Gala out of concern for the safety of attendees."
