FAIRFAX, Va. — Salient Federal Solutions, a provider of information technology, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to government agencies, has acquired LIST Innovative Solutions (LIST). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996 by Katie Sleep, LIST is a woman-owned small business that provides end-to-end application software solutions to the federal government. The Herndon, Va.-based company brings in an annual revenue $25 million, as well as strong year-over-year organic growth as a prime contractor and complementary capabilities in the federal civilian market. Its capabilities include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) integration, personnel security systems and benefit systems
By purchasing LIST, Salient has expanded its prime federal software/application development contract to more than 90% of its contract base. The deal also gives Salient access to buying agreements with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO).
Prior to the acquisition, 70% of Salient’s work was in defense and intelligence, 27% was federal civilian and the remainder was commercial. Now, the company will have 63% defense and 35% civilian split, reports the Washington Post.
“Salient’s acquisition of LIST accelerates the execution of our growth strategy,” Salient COO Bill Parker says. “We feel this is the perfect time to invest in great companies like LIST that have capabilities, staff, and contracts we can grow in this market. Because LIST is focused on agencies that are self-funded and support essential national needs, we expect their funding will have great resiliency.”
Salient will keep LIST’s offices in Herndon and Alexandria, as well as integrate the firm’s workforce with its own.
