NBFAA Considers Name Change

IRVING, Texas

February 01, 2006 | Comments (0) | Post a comment
The National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) is considering a name change. The proposal is one of many that the association’s Board of Directors approved during a recent strategic summit at the NBFAA’s headquarters in Irving, Texas.

Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association (ELSSA) is the proposed new name and was approved 31-1 by the board with one abstention. The NBFAA says it will present the name and other by-law changes to members, who will vote whether to approve the changes between February and March.

The NBFAA has retained the same name since its founding in 1948.
