NORTHFORD, Conn. — Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell has become a GSA 84 supplier of advanced fire alarm and mass notification systems for the United States General Services Administration (GSA). GSA establishes long-term government contracts that allow customers to acquire a vast array of products and services directly from commercial suppliers.
The GSA 84 status qualifies Gamewell-FCI to supply government entities with fire protection products, supported by its nationwide network of platinum associate engineered systems distributors.
The Gamewell-FCI E3 series of commercial fire alarm and mass notification products is offered through the GSA Schedule. The system can be used for retrofit installations requiring updated fire alarm capabilities and can repurpose existing fire alarm components, such as wiring, notification appliances, speakers and more, according to the company.
"Becoming a GSA supplier was a very intricate process, but I think it will benefit both local and federal agencies," says Steve Birdsall, vice president of sales, Gamewell-FCI. "Our engineered systems distributors are life-safety experts who are familiar with all the applicable codes and have the support of the entire Gamewell-FCI company behind them."
