NORTHFORD, Conn. — Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell will offer more than 60 fire alarm training courses in 33 major cities across the United States throughout the remainder of 2012.

The hands-on training courses range from beginner industry knowledge to advanced programming skills. Attendees will qualify to receive continuing education credits (CEUs).

Additionally, Fire-Lite also offers a new training certificate renewal program to provide installers a more convenient, time- and money-saving method for becoming recertified on Fire-Lite Alarms systems.

Under the program, designed at customers’ requests, experienced fire alarm installers who have attended a Fire-Lite Systems training course in the past six years can renew their training certificates. The course material covers technical control panel information through a series of interactive online modules. At the end of each session, participants take a brief quiz.

Those successfully passing the online program will receive 0.7 CEUs and will become eligible to take a written final exam to earn a new training certificate, which is valid for three years.
