Safety Technology Mini Theft Stopper

Safety Technology Int'l Inc. (STI) of Waterford, Mich., releases the Mini Theft Stopper, a compact alarm designed to protect freestanding or cabinet-mounted fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment from theft. It comes standard with a 9V battery, anchors, screws and a 1-year guarantee against breakage of ABS housing and on electronic components.

A reed switch unit mounted on a doorjamb enables cabinet installation, and a freestanding application uses clips held in place by the extinguisher's seal. When the device is triggered by either an opened door or broken seal, it sounds a 105dB warning horn.
