System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill.'s announces the FAAST fire alarm aspiration sensing technology, an aspirating detector that draws air samples into its sensor through a pipe network.
FAAST's smoke detection performance is built around the company's dual vision sensing technology. The sensor utilizes an extremely sensitive blue LED to provide very early warning fire detection up to 60 minutes before combustion, according to the company. It also uses an infrared laser to identify nuisances like dust that can cause false alarms and downtime.
