Sonitrol of Fort Lauderdale President and CEO John Ray III has been elected as president of the Sonitrol National Dealers Association.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Sonitrol National Dealers Association (SNDA) has elected John Ray III, president and CEO of Sonitrol of Fort Lauderdale, as its president. Based in Orlando, Fla., the association represents Sonitrol’s network of 60 dealers across the country that market and service the company’s fully integrated verified electronic security solutions.
Under Ray’s leadership, SNDA will educate the public about verified alarm technology and its ability to enhance police officers’ safety, conserve law enforcement resources and increase the rate of arrest while crimes are underway.
Ray, who entered the electronic security industry with Sensormatic in 1990, previously served as vice president and regional director for SNDA. He purchased a Sonitrol franchise in 2001 and was awarded Franchise of the Year in 2006.
Among his industry participation, Ray is a member of the Alarm Association of Florida (AAF), ASIS, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Florida Crime Prevention Association.
