The Security Growth Conference, an event for middle-market business opportunities in the security market, will be held March 6-7 at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif.

Hosted by USBX Advisory Services LLC, Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, and CapitalSource (investment banking, corporate legal services and commercial finance markets, respectively), the event brings together CEOs and senior executives of top independent security companies with senior executives of large global security companies, along with members of the financial community. Presenting companies provide products and services in three distinct sectors: physical security, identity solutions and IT security.

For the first time the conference program will incorporate the enterprise network security sector and companies that focus on the IT security integration, consulting and vulnerability assessment markets to reflect the importance of this segment as part of the double-digit growth predicted for the $150 billion security sector.

Through an expanded multi-track program, attendees will hear 30-minute presentations from 50 leading middle-market security companies whose CEOs will discuss their business models, product development and success strategies.

The event’s keynote speaker is Frank Abagnale, a respected authority on forgery, embezzlement and secure documents and the real-life subject of the motion picture, Catch Me If You Can, based on his best-selling book. Other featured keynote speakers include Juan Vallejo, appointed president and CEO of Securitas Systems Worldwide in 2006, and Brett Bontrager, president of Convergent Security for Stanley Security Solutions, head of the team responsible for Stanley’s $545 million acquisition of HSM Electronic Protection from GTCR Golder Rauner LLC in January.

A white paper compiled by USBX analysts detailing the rapid growth in the video surveillance markets will be available at the event. This comprehensive resource explores current market drivers in the video market, and details the explosion in IP video hardware and the growing traction of intelligent video technology as part of today’s IP video solutions. Copies of the USBX Security Industry Year-End report will also be available.
