CAMDEN, N.J. - Agilence Inc., a provider of intelligent video analysis solutions, is now an Application Development Partner (ADP) of Axis Communications. The companies will work together to create a loss prevention solution for retailers across the nation.
Agilence identifies shrink caused by cashier fraud, operational inefficiencies and policy violations. The company's patented item-level synchronization software pulls data directly from point-of-sale (POS) systems and marries the data with video by linking an individual item with its associated video image.
As part of the joint effort, Agilence's application will integrate with Axis' entire network video portfolio. The companies say the partnership will result in a scalable solution that integrates with existing POS systems, enabling retailers to identify and investigate potential shrink reducing activities.

"Our combined solution quickly detects the sources of cashier shrink that cost retailers billions of dollars each year."
