SimplexGrinnell, a provider of fire/life-safety solutions, and Intransa, an IP storage solutions provider, will pursue a new sales and marketing relationship.

The agreement will allow SimplexGrinnell to offer Intransa products as part of its surveillance, life-safety and physical security solution portfolio. Intransa will also add support for SimplexGrinnell solutions to its StorAlliance program.

“Intransa’s scalable and affordable security-grade storage, designed specifically for the video needs of physical security, will be a game changer to our customers,” says Tom Giannini, CPP, SimplexGrinnell director of integrated security systems. “Whenever a customer needs more than one DVR or NVR, or when retention requirements exceed the capabilities of a single DVR, Intransa is an excellent fit.”

Intransa’s shared, external storage is able to provide a few day’s worth of video retention for edge recording in retail, banking and other critical applications. The solutions can also scale modularly to support months or years of instantly-available video for multiple sites or major projects, according to the company.
