CLOVIS, Calif. - Pelco's new DX8100 Version 2.0 is giving customers the opportunity to migrate to IP without IP licensing fees. This "easy and affordable" fashion was created to maximize the return on investment, according to the company.
"Pelco has an incredibly loyal customer base for the DX8100. With long-term analog customers making the transition to IP recording, the DX8100 fits into that strategy with an affordable and easy-to-install solution," says Pelco Product Marketing Manager, Yvonne Schwemmer.
Version 2.0 was created for a wide range of industries and applications, including hospitals, education, corrections, manufacturing, utilities and transportation. According to the company, the upgrade helps take the guess work out of installations by giving an instant view of available system CPU and RAM resources for the addition of IP cameras.
The new software feature is installed on new units and available as a free software upgrade for existing DX8100 DVR users. Version 2.0 will also soon be available for download at www.Pelco.com.
