Industry research firm IMS Research is listing On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI) as the top market-share vendor of open-platform network video management software (VMS), according to the company.
OnSSI gained significant market share in 2008 compared to the prior year by continuing development of video solutions. OnSSI credits its gain to “the market response to their Ocularis video physical security information management (PSIM) solution.”
“We are very proud of this recognition from IMS Research,” says Gadi Piran, OnSSI’s president and CTO. “OnSSI’s market leadership position is a reflection of the collaborative efforts of our solution, channel and sales partners in the industry, and testimony to OnSSI's efforts to develop and support industry leading solutions.”
In the report, “The Americas Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment,” IMS Research named OnSSI No. 1 in market share in the category open platform IP video surveillance management software, as well as the category covering software-only vendors of such systems.
“OnSSI captured both market share and market position, a commendable achievement,” says Alastair Hayfield, IMS Research’s senior market research analyst. “With the Americas’ network surveillance market experiencing strong growth through the recession, OnSSI is well positioned to leverage its Ocularis platform for continued success.”
