BEDFORD, Mass. -- VideoIQ and Milestone Systems have teamed up to deliver integrated, intelligent video surveillance.
VideoIQ’s iCVR product line is now integrated with Milestone XProtect, providing users with a seamless solution for intelligent, proactive surveillance, according to the company.
The cameras and encoders will now work with version 6.5 of the XProtect Enterprise and version 2.0 of XProtect Corporate IP video management platforms. The integrated solution uses the XProtect interface for monitoring alarms, viewing live video and responding to security threats identified by the VideoIQ iCVR.
In addition, XProtect Enterprise allows access to the video stored in the iCVR as if it were a single channel DVR, according to the company. Integration also includes management of the audio, alarm inputs, alarm output and pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) controls in the iCVR through both platforms.
“VideoIQ’s integration with Milestone offers a unique and proactive security solution, especially where auto-calibrating video analytics are required for changing environments,” says Henrik Friborg, vice president, strategic alliances, and cofounder of Milestone Systems.
