JVC Professional Products, a division of JVC U.S.A., has entered into an agreement with Optex Inc. to market an IP perimeter protection solution.
The integration will combine JVC’s line of V.Networks pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) IP cameras with the new Redwall Redscan RLS-3060 synthesized intelligent PIR (SIP) detection system.
“With the increase demand in IP perimeter detection, it is with great pleasure that Optex is able to team up with an industry icon in dealing with IP solutions,” says Optex President Jim Quick. “The Redwall Redscan laser scan and SIP sensors are the newest outdoor detectors from Optex, and provide a powerful solution for intruder detection and prevention using a JVC IP video surveillance system.”
V.Networks cameras feature JVC’s latest image processing circuitry to provide sharp images with high contrast and good color saturation for 24/7 operations, plus compression technologies that conserve bandwidth without sacrificing image quality, according to the company.
The Redwall Redscan RLS-3060 processes object size, speed, and distance data using a unique algorithm to provide detection with minimal false alarms. According to the company, the four programmable detection areas linked over the IP network to the video surveillance system and p/t/z camera controls eliminates blind spots.
