HORSHAM, Pa. — Electronic surveillance and personal defense products provider Mace Security Int’l Inc. has joined the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) in an effort to bring standardization to the security industry, the company released in a statement.

“We are pleased to welcome Mace to the PSIA”, says PSIA Executive Director David Bunzel. “Mace has established an aggressive plan to grow its business, relying on a diverse line of products, which complement the PSIA’s system approach to physical security.”

Mace maintains that PSIA standards will help the company deliver innovative hardware solutions that are easy to deploy and use, and lower the total cost of ownership for customers.

“We feel that promoting standards for the security industry is in the best long term interest of manufacturers, integrators, installers and end users,” says Mace Security President and CEO Dennis Raefield.
