PARK RIDGE, N.J. — In an effort to offer more solutions in vertical markets ranging from retail to government installations, Sony Electronics' Security Systems Division (SESSD) has added three manufacturers' representative firms. The additions will help Sony reach clients in the nation's Midwest and South Central regions.
Sony has signed on Ascend Group of Addison, Texas; DataStrait Networks of Plymouth, Minn.; and IP Security Reps of Detroit to represent the company. Each firm manages security solutions across multiple vertical markets utilizing IP-based technologies and supporting infrastructures, according to a press release.
The addition of these new firms will help the company stand out from its competitors, according to SESSD General Manager Mark Collett.
"Ascend Group, DataStrait Networks and IP Security Reps have achieved high degrees of success by putting solutions into action," he says. "Having them join our team is a perfect fit for our broader solutions-based strategy. The success of Sony products in the marketplace depends not only on innovation and quality. It relies on great firms like these putting our technology to work."
