Milestone Systems has announced version 7.0 of its XProtect Enterprise video management software. The update features a new user interface and tools such as system configuration wizards, automatic device discovery and bulk maintenance options.
Distributed server architecture optimizes bandwidth usage, keeping video data traffic to a minimum. System configuration wizards quickly set video quality, online scheduling, frame rates, storage and archiving schedules. Automated device discovery uses Universal Plug-and-Play (UPnP), broadcast detection and IP range scanning.
Import off-line configuration data including camera definitions. XProtect Enterprise version 7.0 will be available through certified Milestone partners in October.
