The IP8335H outdoor bullet camera from Vivotek of San Jose, Calif., features a one-megapixel CMOS sensor, varifocal/P-iris lens, H.264 codec, removable infrared (IR) cut filter, IR illuminators and weatherproof IP67-rated housing.
Equipped with the company's latest wide dynamic range (WDR) technology, WDR Pro, the product captures both the dark and bright parts of an image with double shutters and then combines both frames to reproduce a high contrast image.
The company maintains that the camera works well in challenging lighting environments, such as lobby entrances, parking lots, ATMs and loading areas.
