PSIA Adds Industry Vets to Leadership Positions

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) has elected two industry professionals to leadership positions. Proximex Vice President of product management Larry Lien will serve as chairman, while Honeywell Security Group Global Director of Integration Marine Drive will serve as vice chairman.

In his role as chairman, Lien, who has 20 years of experience in marketing, product management and business development, will work closely with the PSIA board to develop strategies that maintain the organization's leadership position in the marketplace. Prior to joining Proximex, a physical security information management (PSIM) software provider, Lien held executive and general management roles at various IT and electronic security organizations, including Resonate, NetIQ, Intel and IBM/Micromuse.

Honeywell Security Group Global Director of Integration Marine Drive will serve as vice chairman ofHoneywell Security Group Global Director of Integration Marine Drive will serve as vice chairman of PSIA.
As vice chairman, Drive will help vendors define the business case and migration strategies needed to adopt and implement the PSIA integration standards. A 12-year Honeywell veteran, Drive has experience in product design and innovation in access control, video and security product integration. Drive, who holds more than 20 patents in the security industry, also authored the PSIA Area Control standard and lead an integrated demonstration of the PSIA system specifications along with several other companies at ISC West 2011.
