ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Mace Central Station (CS), a subsidiary of Mace Security Int'l Inc., has received the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) Five Diamond certification.
Based in Anaheim, Calif., Mace CS operators completed CSAA's online operator training course that teaches effective communication with central station customers in law enforcement, fire and emergency services communications centers.
In order to achieve the certification, Mace CS operators had to demonstrate their proficiency in alarm verification and false alarm reduction and commitment to ongoing job-related training. They also had to show adequate communications with public service answering points, such as the 911 dispatch centers; knowledge of electronic communications equipment; and an understanding of the codes and standards of Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Factory Mutual (FM) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
"We have invested heavily this last year in technology, people and programs to make us the frontrunners in the wholesale monitoring industry," says Morgan Hertel, vice president and general manager, Mace CS.
