BURLINGAME, Calif. — TOA Electronics Inc., an audio and security products manufacturer, has recalled its SC Series paging horn loudspeaker models.
Due to an excess of zinc content, the metal part of the speaker is subject to cracking where the mounting bracket is attached, the company says. As a result, the product cannot withstand exposure to salt, which can cause the horns to fall, especially if located near a shoreline or indoor pool environment.
The recall includes the following models:
- Model SC-610T with a manufacture date between 6/2008-11/2008 Model SC-615 with a manufacture date between 2/2008-11/2008
