Terminus of Christiansburg, Va., releases the Terminus SP3237 shock sensors for residential application, which contains dual contact technology to reduce false alarms.
Shock waves produced by an intruder will cause the dual elements to bounce off the gold-plated electrical contacts, according to the company. An open circuit then sends a signal to the Terminus processor, which analyzes and reports its status to the main alarm control panel.
All metal components are gold plated and hermetically sealed against dust and moisture to rigid ASTM standards.
