Checkpoint Field Techs Receive Network Certification Training

November 11, 2009 | Comments (0) | Post a comment

Checkpoint Systems Inc., a multinational provider of loss prevention solutions, has launched an enhanced training program, based on a network certification created by The CMOOR Group, for all of its field technicians in the United States.

The training initiative is centered on The CMOOR Group’s Physical Security Network Field Technician (PSNFT) certification, which provides foundational training for security professionals entering the converging worlds of electronic security and networking.

Checkpoint Systems is the first organization to fully standardize on the PSNFT certification, according to The CMOOR Group. The curriculum consists of a three-part, six-hour training series offered online at www.SecurityCEU.com. The coursework includes basic networking, IP video, and integration instruction.

Along with becoming PSNFT-certified, Checkpoint installing technicians will also have the opportunity to receive other CMOOR online instruction, such as structured cabling and advanced video product courses.

“Checkpoint understands the importance of the converging markets and the need for high quality, comprehensive training,” says Jerry Aldridge, vice president of U.S. operations for Checkpoint Systems. “When our customers require us to show proof of our skills in networking, we can provide evidence that we have completed the PSNFT certification as a validation of the required networking skills to better serve our industry.”
