AURORA, Colo. — At ADT Commercial's new $1.5 million Integrated Solutions Center (ISC), customers can learn about the latest IP-based network technologies and speak one-on-one with subject matter experts.

Located within ADT's Aurora, Colo.-based customer monitoring center the 6,500-square-foot center features three vertical market-focused showrooms. Two rooms will display the latest security solutions for the retail and banking markets. The third area will simulate how ADT protects other specific facilities, such as chemical, education, food defense, government and healthcare.

The ISC allows clients to see the latest IP-based, networked security technology in a realistic environment that mimics their own industries, says ADT Commercial President John Kenning.

"We've created a place where existing and potential customers can meet in an elegant, high-tech setting," he says. "They can ask challenging questions to our experts in person or via telepresence to learn more about our offerings."

One of the ISC's first visitors, Kevin Phillips, a security and emergency response manager, says he was surprised to learn that the company reaches into other markets. "There is a section in the ISC devoted to the retail industry," he says. "We unexpectedly spent about 20 minutes there talking about some of the technology used in that type of business and understanding how it could be used for our industry. That helped us to add to our own solutions."

ADT plans to add similar ISCs on the east and west coasts.
