MELVILLE, N.Y. — Luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers has tapped Honeywell to provide security products for its newly constructed homes.
The deal allows Honeywell to provide its VISTA alarm panels, alarm radios and Total Connect 2.0 technology. The offering lets users remotely monitor and control their security systems with Web-enabled devices.
Currently building in 19 states, Toll Brothers offers security systems in most of its new homes. Through subsidiaries such as Westminster Security, the company provides UL-Listed central station monitoring to its homeowners nationwide. For Westminster Security President Felicia Ratka, offering Honeywell security systems keeps Toll Brothers up to date with the latest security technology.
"Homeowners today want more than just a security system that is reliable," she says. "They want options — security without phone lines or security with remote capabilities and integration. We're offering a product that will be reliable and will offer great value. That's a key selling point for home buyers."
With alarm panels integrating into home systems such as thermostats and lighting, the Honeywell portfolio will help Toll Brothers enhance its green commitment, according to the manufacturer.
