Tri-Ed/Northern Video Partners With Habitat for Humanity to Help Community

JOHN ISLAND, S.C. — As part of its philanthropic efforts, Tri-Ed/Northern Video Distribution recently teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to complete the construction of a house here for a single mother her two children and handicapped grandmother.

As many as 15 Tri-Ed/Northern Video employees volunteered a full seven-day week to complete the home. Various tasks included demolition, digging a foundation, and installing gables, tresses, hurricane plates and vinyl siding — all without the aid of automated machinery.

“This was a truly fulfilling experience for our employees,” Tri-Ed/Northern Video President Pat Comunale says. “It’s also a great way for our company to give back to the community. As Habitat says, they are a helping hand, not a handout. It was our privilege and pleasure to lend our support and helping hands to this very important cause.”
