End Users, Systems Integrators Gear Up for 2007 ASIS Expo

LAS VEGAS — The cutting-edge tools and technologies the world relies on to secure its future will be put on view and demonstrated at ASIS Int’l 2007 Seminar and Exhibits, held Sept. 24-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

A global contingency upward of 23,000 security professionals is expected to attend the 53rd annual exposition. In all, organizers say 950 vendors will showcase the products and services that are shaping the industry, including advances in metal detection, biometrics, video analytics, thermal imaging, access control and more. End users and systems integrators will be able to find solutions and to talk to product experts, service providers and manufacturers to address their individual security needs.

Among the industry players to unveil new products and services are Honeywell, NAPCO, GE Security, Bosch, Panasonic, Pelco, HID Global, Tyco, Tamron and many more.

A popular draw each year at the ASIS expo is the lineup of keynote addresses. This year’s bill features business guru and former White House advisor Tom Peters (Sept. 25), who is co-author of the best-seller, “In Search of Excellence”; Dr. Henry Kissinger (Sept. 26), former Secretary of State and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, is expected to discuss U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. On Sept. 27, former congressman Michael Oxley (R-Ohio) will lead a panel of experts in exploring the connection between ethics and business continuity as part of the seminar’s Security Insights program, and Christopher Gardner will share his personal journey from homelessness to Wall Street riches.

The 2007 educational agenda will again offer a plethora of classroom and networking sessions that will focus on the latest homeland security strategies and critical issues. Among the more than 150 sessions, topics will cover crime/loss prevention, crisis management, information technology, investigations, physical security, privacy, risk management and terrorism.
