Adesta to Enhance Security at the Port of Long Beach
Systems integrator Adesta LLC has been awarded a three-phase contract to enhance security at the Port of Long Beach in California.
The first phase will focus on optimizing the port’s existing system and recommending, implementing and commissioning an integrated solution. Phase two will encompass development and implementation of a program for the integration of a scalable system management software component. In phase three, a program will be developed for the implementation of a 5-year integration plan that will be linked to a multiagency/regional communications and data network.
“As one of the largest port facilities in the nation, we must choose our partners carefully to ensure optimal security,” says Cosmo Peronne, director of security for the Port of Long Beach. “Adesta has made it possible for the port to meet all of our unique security integration needs with one company partner.”
Long Beach is the second busiest seaport in the United States. As a major gateway for trade with Asia, cargo is projected to triple in the next 15 years.
