ASIS 2016: DMP Set to Open ‘Company Store’ Oct. 1

Online portal set to help dealers participate in the new DIY millennial marketplace.

ORLANDO, Fla. – DMP Executive Director of Marketing Mark Hillenburg said, following very successful beta testing with select security dealers, the company is preparing to fully launch its new service offering called The Company Store.

Designed to allow traditional security dealers to participate and succeed in the do-it-yourself (DIY) market, the integrated web applications and product delivery engine enables dealers to link to the DMP online store from their website, which their customers can then directly access. From there, the customer is prompted with “Let’s build your system” to choose their monitoring and check out. Prompts intuitively guide customers to name their own zones, which DMP programs into the system automatically from a cloud-based service for them. If a customer needs to change the name of a zone later, they may do so through the MyVirtualKeypad.com or keypad.

Initially previewed at DMP’s Owners Forum last spring, Hillenburg said the offering will officially move out of the beta phase Oct. 1. With The Company Store, dealers can enter their own pricing and decide what their price points are going to be, through an easy administrative dashboard. End users may navigate the website without the help of a dealer directly and end users can choose their contract, based on what the dealer chooses to offer. According to DMP, The Company Store is designed to help dealers participate in the new millennial marketplace without having to invest millions in back-end fulfillment.
