Genetec Partners With BCDVideo, Expands Appliance Offering
BCDVideo Nova recording servers will now come preconfigured with Genetec’s Security Center software.
The agreement grants Genetec channel partners and integrators access to all BCDVideo Nova Series servers and storage arrays, which come preloaded with Genetec’s Security Center software.
Built using high-performance components, the BCDVideo Nova Series servers are suited for enterprise IP video surveillance applications, and large systems supporting hundreds of megapixel cameras.
The network appliances come with preverified hardware configurations specifically designed for Genetec Security Center, and can be deployed as a unified security system, or as a standalone platform for video, access control, license plate recognition.
The open architecture of Genetec Security Center allows customers to select their preferred cameras, door controllers and edge device hardware from a wide range of industry-leading manufacturers.
“We have always prided ourselves on our ‘white-glove’ approach to specifying and designing systems for the unique needs of a system integrator,” BCDVideo President Jeff Burgess says. “Now, we are able to collaborate directly with Genetec’s channel partners to build and deliver certified Genetec Security Center systems supportive of all the edge devices in its partner ecosystem, with BCDVideo’s powerful hardware, dependable storage, fast, on-board disaster recovery features, and renowned hardware support.”
Available in multiple rack-mountable configurations (1U, 2U and 5U) and tower form factors, the Nova Series provides RAID storage configuration options, and embedded SMART technology modules to minimize downtime and troubleshooting, according to the company.
“We are pleased to deepen our relationship with BCDVideo,” says Michel Chalouhi, vice president of North American sales at Genetec. “With both companies’ dedication to unbeatable customer service, this partnership will bring great value and satisfaction to system integrators and end-users.”
