Interface Security Buys Albuquerque IP Integration Firm
Interface Security Systems, a provider of electronic security solutions and integrated security systems, announces it closed on its purchase of Loss Prevention Management Inc. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Loss Prevention, based in Albuquerque, N.M., is a managed network services and IP integration firm. Its IP network will be integrated into Interface’s Secure Operations Center, according to the company.
Michael Shaw, CEO of Interface, says the company’s investment in LPM represents a first-to-market strategic combination that positions Interface as a frontrunner in the “convergence” of physical and logical security technologies.
“We see the business landscape changing, with the market for IP-based security and building control integration reaching $118 billion and still growing while managed network services is projected to become a $41 billion business by 2009,” he says.
Interface Security Systems is based in Earth City, Mo., and operates 24 additional locations nationwide.
