Interlogix Aims for Small Business With Bundled Video Kits
Interlogix says the TVN 10 provides users with a megapixel resolution solution at analog price levels, and that it is designed for fast installation and easy operation.
ATLANTA – Installing security contractors on the lookout for a bundled video surveillance system for small businesses have a new IP-based offering by Interlogix to consider.
As the company pitched at ASIS 2014, the TruVision NVR 10 (TVN 10) is bundled with four cameras for easy ordering and installation of video systems for small commercial operations. Anchored by a four- or eight-channel recorder, the kit offers megapixel resolution without the need to deploy an expensive IT infrastructure. A PoE switch is built into the chassis with full control via front panel buttons and a mouse, or through TVRMobile software applications.
The TVN 10 kit comes bundled with four, installation-ready IP cameras; the eight-channel model can be expanded with the purchase of additional cameras.
“This kit helps our dealer and integrator customers enter smaller commercial segments where megapixel technology was previously considered too expensive or difficult to deploy,” says Mike Chiavacci, general manager, video solutions, Interlogix and Lenel.
Also newly released, the TruVision DVR 12 (TVR 12), an analog recorder with four-, eight- or 16-channel capabilities with H.264 video compression to deliver real-time recording per channel up to 960×480 resolution. The recorder can also be controlled remotely via the TVRMobile smartphone/tablet app.
“We’ve responded to our customers’ needs by creating kits with the most frequently requested recorder and camera configurations in a single box,” says Chiavacci. “This makes both the ordering and installation process simple and fast. Once the installer opens the box, they can have a high-quality, four-camera IP or analog system up and running in minutes.”
IFS Layer 3 switches, which deliver high-power PoE+ and 10-gigabit performance for enterprise-level video applications, are also available. The IFS switch is ideal for use in campus environments or other locations with multiple buildings requiring network segmentation in a large IP video system, according to the company.
Both the TVN 10 kit and IFS Layer 3 switches are available immediately through authorized Interlogix dealers and distributors throughout North America. The TVR 12 analog kits will be available later this year.
