ISC West Co-Locates With the International Tourism Safety Conference

LAS VEGAS — ISC West will co-locate its event with the International Tourism Safety Association Conference (ITSAC) in April at the Sands Expo Convention Center here.

The ITSAC is hosted by the International Tourism Safety Association, the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Las Vegas Security Chiefs Association.

The conference, scheduled for April 2-3, brings together safety and security officials in the travel and tourism industry worldwide and focuses on providing delegates with new information, trends, equipment, strategies and best practices in keeping visitors safe, according to event organizers.

“ISC West is known as the launching pad for new physical security products and services,” says Ed Several, senior vice president and general manager, ISC Events. “We’re delighted to work with the International Tourism Safety Association to bring their members to the show, where they can see the newest products and technologies that can be immediately implemented in their organizations.”

Managed by Reed Exhibitions and sponsored by the Security Industry Association (SIA), ISC West is billed as the largest security event in the United States. Scheduled for April 2-4, ISC West hosts more than 1,000 international and domestic security product manufacturer companies and more than 26,000 security professionals.

The event also features more than 10,000 products on its show floor, and offers 75 educational sessions on the latest technologies in security.

“This is a great opportunity for attendees of both events as they’ll be able to share more information and gain added insight on the latest safety strategies, technology and equipment,” says Ray Suppe, president of ITSA and director of security for the LVCVA. “Providing a safe and secure experience for visitors is a top priority for any city’s tourism industry, and by combining our events, we’ll be able to offer more training and collaboration which ultimately helps ensure the safety of visitors in destinations and attractions here in Las Vegas and around the world.”
