Mission 500 Calls for 2013 CSR, Humanitarian Awards
MIAMI — Nonprofit security industry initiative Mission 500 is seeking candidates for the 2013 Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Humanitarian Awards. The program will be presented at a special cocktail reception on April 11 during ISC West in Las Vegas.
A judging panel will evaluate all nominees based on their contributions toward humanitarian and social causes. In 2012, Vivint earned the CSR Award for its “Vivint Gives Back” program, which raised more than $726,000 from company personnel. The firm matched the total dollar for dollar, which led to the company donating more than $1 million to 86 different charities. The Vivint staff also donated 8,400 hours of service to organizations and families in need.
RFI Communications & Security Systems Call Center Director Mary Jensby was last year’s Humanitarian Award recipient. Well known in the industry for her service to the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and Electronic Security Association (ESA), Jensby has been engaged throughout the years in many efforts that involve volunteering for community and social causes in the Dallas Texas area.
Additionally, Mission 500 will host its fourth 5/2K charity run at ISC West on April 11, 2013. The marathon is the first charity-driven event at an ISC Expo.
